SAT Essay Practice

Although a person’s past achievements can provide a valuable glimpse into their future ability to succeed, the most important indicator of future success is a person’s current motivation and integrity, their current willingness to tackle challenges and to push back their own limits.

While past accomplishment can certainly point to certain character traits that often help lead to success, such as innate talent, it cannot accurately measure their current willingness to work hard, which is the single most important factor in future accomplishment. By focusing primarily on past experience and furthering the aspirations of those who have succeeded in the past over those who have not been so successful, our society deprives itself of future leaders who, although perhaps less accomplished than their competitors with brilliant resumes and top-tier graduate degrees, nevertheless deserve equal opportunities if they are willing to work hard.

A person’s desire to further themselves through hard work can change throughout their life. So, too, should her opportunities, for past accomplishment is not a reliable indicator of current motivation. For example, a person who screws up high school shouldn't be barred from later success. If that person, perhaps in his or her 20s, decides to study hard, go to a community college, transfer to a good university, that person shouldn't be viewed as permanently incapable of valuable work just because his/her early record is less than impressive.

Final Countdown

Since this last marking period is short. There are several goal that I plan to accomplish. The goal are to bring my grades up, more community service, and finish with my junior project.

Since I got C in one class, I would plan to bring up my grade this last quarter so that I will have at least B for the final grade. This was to help at least make my grades look good for college because this is my junior years, which they may attention to grade.

Community service is one of my goal. I still have senior year to do it, but the more hour is the better. And since Im in the National Honor Society, there are the requirement to have many community service and be active. Not just for National Honor Society, This is also a requirement for college, which I need to have at least 60 hour in order to get in.

Year End Reflection

Looking back at my junior years in high school, I have improve a lot as person and as student. For instance I have become more responsibility and getting thing done before it due. The most important thing is that, I did quite a lot of community service which help me to become a better person. For senior, I would try to improve more and more even when I'm going to college.

During junior years, I have been working hard to get good grade for college and I have been become more involve with program and activity. As I get older, I learn to become more responsible and taking things for serious like the way adult are. Since I'm taking Physics class this years with a hard teacher, who teach us and prepare us for college, I become more strongly in what I'm doing. I become less lazy and start doing more works.

For senior years, I would get myself prepare for Senior Project and getting myself into college. I will try to make plan on what I try to accomplish in senior and what I should fix. For instance, myself. I would try to be more hardworking. Since in my junior, I have seem many of my friend who is a senior who have been stress out with all the work, I will try to make sure I can come in a best idea to make it easier and less stressful.
