Performance In Classes

          The first quarter is about to end. There are some classes that I'm struggling that I'm trying to improve. This years I have physics, world history, Chinese, Algebra 2, English 3, and lastly junior seminar. The class that I struggle in is Physic.

          I was struggling in physics because It really hard for me since I'm still in Junior. In my physic class that I have, there are only three junior student and the rest are senior. The teacher give a lot of works and lot of labs. The major problem is that I don't really understand physic and in order to really understand physic I need to have calculus which I don't have yet and plus in physic there are lot of math to do.

          My other class are really easy.I know I will got good grade on it. In my World History class, I got A as in rank #2. In Chinese class is a little hard but I know I could still got A or B and for this first quarter, I got 93% which is A. For my Algebra 2 class, I got B, but I'm still trying to get A. I also trying to get an A in English 3 class since I got B this quarter.

         Lastly my Junior Seminar class, I think I got either A or B for this quarter. I would also try to get a better grade. In Physic class right now I got 85% which is B and I'm trying to keep it as the way it is. I think in order to improve my grade, I have to study harder. I would have to wake early around 5:00 am or 5:30 am to study. I have done it few time and it work. For example, this one time I got a test and that day I woke up at 5:00 am to study and when I take the test, my score were really high.

       


   

Failure

            Many people are afraid of failure, so they give up. Here a quote that I think is really true and interesting, "Don't be afraid to fail. Don't waste energy trying to cover up failure. Learn from your failures and go on to the next challenge. It's OK to fail. If you're not failing, you're not growing". From the meaning of this quote, I think it true where it say " if you're not failing, you're not growing" because if people don't face any problem/difficulty then they will not be able to learn from it, so they are not growing.

           I have always afraid of failure. One of the thing I'm afraid of is failing test and getting bad grade because my mom will yelling at me or will not let me watch movie and I will get kick out of National Honor Society. Another thing I'm afraid of is failing S.A.T because I'm trying to get in a good colleges.

           If i never afraid to fail in my life, I would have had many experience of either failing or passing. I wouldn't have to be so stress of deciding on doing thing that I'm afraid of failing. Furthermore, I from trying all things even thought failing or passing, I would have many experience that would help me on deciding things later on.

         To over the fear of failing, all you have to do is try thinking or looking at things in a positive ways. For example, instead of thinking about your fear, try think about what you could get out of it. 

            

      

Why you do it?

               When I moved to Philadelphia, I made a decision on either staying or move to California. My cousin in California wanted my sister and I to live with her and my sister decide on moving. I made a decision that I would stay in Philadelphia with my mom and brother. Thinking of it over again, I ask myself why I made that decision. I regret staying as I think about it over again. The things that surprise me is that why I choose to stay in Philadelphia while Los Angeles is so much better.

              What make me really surprise is that I know that in Philadelphia is more dangerous than in California. For example, there are a lot of kids that got kidnapped and many people got kills during holiday while California is a very peaceful place and good environment. The education in California are probably better than here. The school are probably much bigger, more teacher, and there a lot of cool place.
           
            Everyday, thousand of people have to made a decision such as what college to choose, what for dinner, or even who they wanna talk to. The decision that everyone made are never correct because it depend on how much they think or know. I realize that I should have think about it more to make the right decision.

            There are lot of reason I should have think of before making any choice such as compare Philadelphia with California or find the advantage and disadvantage.This is the reason why I have made a wrong decision. I did not think carefully about it. From thinking about this over again, I learn that thinking more or look at it closer is the only thing that could keep me from making the wrong decision.  


                  As I think over and over, the main reason I choose to stay was because I want to be with my parent, who is caring for me more than anyone else and make me feel safe.

       

Roster

              If I really were to choose what I want to learn or if  I were to really make my own roster, I would take all the class that I need credit for college and classes that I'm interested in or classes that I want to learn. This year, the classes that I want to take are Algebra 2, English 3, Government for half year, gym the other half year, Chinese, Lunch, Physic, and Junior Seminar. Most of the class in this list are the class I have now, But there are few classes in the list that I want to take or the one I want to change to another teacher.

              I would take Physic as my first period. I don't mine taking it first period but I want it to be a different teacher teaching not the teacher I have right now. Sadly, because of budget cut there are not much class that the school can offer and not much teacher teach the same subject. For example, right now there are only one Chemistry and Physic teacher so there are no way student could change to other teacher plus they need credit from that class to graduate.

              Second periods will be Government which is for half year. I got World History right now in my junior year. World History is for freshman so in that class are freshman except me. Therefore I want my history class to be Government instead. For the other half year, I want to take gym because I haven't have gym yet which I need 1.5 credit to graduate.

             Third period would be my advisory and 4th period will be Chinese. I want Chinese class as 4th period because Everyone relaxed when they in advisory which clear their mind a little plus learning other language could be stressful so that is why I pick world language as my 4th periods. For 5th periods, I would take Algebra 2 which is before lunch 6th periods.

             Finally, after lunch I will take English 3 which we will be reading books and will calm everyone down. Lastly, my last period would be Junior Seminar.

Career

              Everyone have many different type of career that they are interest in. For me, I'm interest in cosmetology. I like hairstyles, make up, skin care, and manicures. I really enjoy making people look pretty. Furthermore, I'm really good at make-up, manicures, and hairstyles. I use to do make up for my friends when they have to go birthday party. I even cut their hair for them. I design what type of hairstyle fit them best. For manicures, I usually did it for myself and sometime for my mom and friends. I found that this is what I’m enjoy doing and I would pick that as my career goal.

               Recently, I did some research on cosmetology. I found out that not many cosmetology school need high school diploma, but you have to be 16 and older. Yet, you have to go to full time training in hair styling and cosmetology for 9 month and may result in earning an associate degree, but after training you have to take state-administered licensing exam. The training doesn't stop there and many people continue to take advanced course that help them stay abreast of the latest trends.

            I also do a research on salary. It said that most cosmetologist salary per year is $22,500 and a professional salary range in salon can be as high as $50,000. To tell the true, I don't really care much about salary. I just want to do I like. There are no word to describe how much I love cosmetics such as make-up and hair-styling. The fact that I love it so much is because I want to make other pretty and good looking. I am myself also want to look nice.

           In summer 2015, I'm going to visit my country and it a really good opportunity to learn cosmetology there. I plan to learn make-up, hair-styling, and manicures. While I was there, I could gain a lot of experience that could help me improve my chances. When I'm going to cosmetology school, I would learn things quicker and faster. Furthermore, I might be able to get out of training faster.

          In the end, I hope that I could achieve my goal and become a cosmetologist. I hope that I really be able to learn all those things while I'm visiting my country. I'm sure what I want to do and I'm going to accomplish it no matter what. Cosmetology is my only and only things I was dreaming of when i was little and still now.
       

Impression Of Myself

    If I were to see myself walking into a room, my first impression would be I look innocent, small, and cute girl. Furthermore, I also think I look like a type of girl who always shy. To tell the true, most of my friend say that I'm innocent and cute and including small. To be honest, I would think that I'm too small to be a high school student. I think I look more like a middle school student.

   

   My ESOL teacher say when he first saw me, his first impression was I look like an innocent and shy little girl. I think the reason I look innocent was because I usually quiet, pay attention during class, and never curse. I also think that I'm look like the type of girl who would be quiet when meeting new people, but afterward when I get to know them more, it will become normal and more comfortable and I would talk more.


   The thing that stand out most is my style of fashion, make up, and including my look. One thing that I'm sure about is my make up skill and my look because most of my friends always come to me and ask to do a make over for them. Most of them ask me to do their make up when they going to a party or meet up with someone.


   I also think my hair style is stand out. I usually have different hair style everyday. Sometimes, it straight, curl, and also hair bun. Everytime my mom or friends go somewhere like party. They always ask me to do their hair. Sometimes they want me to curl or even braid it.


  If I were to really see myself, It would be really great. I can see how other think of me when they see me. I would also feel how I think of myself in like another person point of view. As I were imagine, I think that the thing that stand out most about me is fashion style and my first impression of myself would be I'm really short but good looking.


 
   

Standardized Test

Who would want to take a standardized test? The answer would be none.  In my opinion, I think no one should need to take standardized test. Furthermore, I think that it too much works for a person to handle. At the same time, here are 3 of my reason why I think student should not take standardized test.

The first reason are, most of the time it hard for students to study and prepared for a test at once.  I think a person brain need to relax for a little or else it might turn into stress and stresses are never good. For instance When a person stress, they usually cannot focus. As a result, they might get lower grade or fail the class. While the class grade are going down it hard for the person to catch up with the Standardized Test. 

Furthermore, there a test called Keystone that every freshman this year have to take in order to graduated. For this reason, the freshman this year have to prepared for both Keystone and SAT which make it more harder and stressful for them. Taking class, prepared for SAT and Keystone, if that was me, I don't think i could focus all at once. I probably fail my class or fail.

To think about it more, junior year is the most important years for all students and their grade have to be good in order to get into good college but because of trying to focus more on the standardized test their grade wasn't that good which be hard for them to get accept to any college. Yet they might not pass the standardized test. If this really happen, they might not be able to get into good college or any college.

As a result, I think that there should not be any standardized test. The reason are it hard for students to focus on many things at once, they might be stress, and the result show if they could go to college or not and if they fail it, they might not be able to go to college.
